We purchased a home that startd off as Jim Walter Homes in 1984, and we moved in 1985 thinking we had the main home four bedroom  two baths that we had always wanted. Then a few year later  around 1991 the houes begin leaking underneath the bathroom sink so we had to call a plumber which cost us $750.00 to replace the floor and sink because the floor had particle boards instead of hardwood boards. The kitchen sink had to be replaced for the same reason another $565.00. The roofing started leaking it didn't have the black covering that stop the water from coming through into the house. The porch steps were weak, and slipery that I felled. The soft plywood started peeling and spliting so bad that we had to pay someone to rebuild that back and place bricks one on the front. We kept calling Jim Walter but noone would answer our calls. But if if we were later making our mortage payments someone would appear at the door and threaten us about forecloseing on the mortage. At one point they acused us of not making (3) payments and was sending us letters that the house had gone into lawyers office to closed on, and they were in the process of taking our land and house. We were thankful that we had Postal Money Order that proved the moneies were payed except one payment. These people are so money hungery that they will do about anything to get money. But their work are unfavorable, faulty, poor quality, and well below quality work standard.
