Complaint Review: J.D.Marvel ProductsInc.

I'm 63 years old and my hearing isnt what it used to be.If I watch television the sound has to be high enough that it is uncomfortable for the rest of the family.So when I read an ad in the Parade magazine that comes with the Sunday newspaper about these "hearing devices"to my wife she decided to surprise me and ordered 2.

I dont have the ad or phone number but the check was made out to J.D.Marvel,Inc.It was sent 10-15-2001.There are two bank stamps on the back of the check,one is Bankers Trust, New York,NY Plaza.The other is smeared badly but I can read Montreal Quebec on it.The dates on these are 10-25-01 &10-26-01 respectively.

We recieved a postcard the last part of November from J.D .Marvel co. saying they were shipping the merchandise the first part of December which has not happened.The check was for $30.50.

How in the world do they get away with this kind of thing?What can we do about it.30 dollars would have bought 1 more nice Christmas present for 1 of my grandchildren
