InterNations UNFAIR RENEWAL PRACTICES

Internations is threatening to take me to collections and is not allowing me to cancel my membership until I pay for an Albatross memberships that I will NEVER use as the pandemic has relocated me to the US. They say it is "within German law" to do this.

They do NOT warn you that they are about to charge your credit card and since mine was not active they did not get to sneak my money without my knowledge.  They are now threatening collection.

I am asking for leniency, as I will never use this service now that I am no longer an expatriate and my visa has been cancelled. They have been rigid and unmoving to all requests. There is no leniency provided for extenuating circumstances such as an 8,000 mile relocation due to a global pandemic.

While is is only a 60 USD charge, I do not agree to paying it. I will not use the membership. The only way for me to cancel is to renew which is ridiculous.

This is unfair, punitive and just plain unkind.
