I purchase my insurance policy from AAA (inter insurance exchange of Automobile club) in January of 2021. Later in March I added my wife to the policy So she could pick up our twins from Elementary school which is about 1.1 miles from our residence. When we got the insurance billing to our awe they had raised my/our insurance from 220.00 per month to 645.00 per month. My wife has never been involved in any accident nor she had any tickets or for that matter any DUI.!!! I called Geico insurance at once and got a quote from them for the exact same policy coverage for 209.00 dollars for both of us on the same cars and same driving record.

I canclled AAA insurance after I had paid 4 months of payments, without filing any claims. And we enrolled with Geico Insurance.

In about a week after I cancleed AAA, I got a letter in mail where they demanded a cancellation fee of 1,086.71 cents. I had since been waiting for their response for my inquary as to why they would charge 300 percent more for the exact same policy by other California insurance providers. Their response have been anything but rediculous.

Now they have forwarded my account for collection and the collection company(AWA Collections P.O> Box 6605 in Orange California Zip code 92863-6605)is treatening us to report credit reporting companies for non payment of a service we did not use.

You have two cars. Has your wife been driving without insurance? She may be considered a risky driver.

That is not an overcharge. It’s an overcharge if you were charged more than the agreed-upon amount. That’s known as American Free Enterprise. You agreed to the terms by continuing to pay on the policy for an additional four months.

$6714 annual fee is $559.50 a month; not $645 a month

“raised my/our insurance from 220.00 per month to 645.00 per month… 300 percent more”

That’s a 193% increase; not 300%.

“cancellation fee of 1,086.71 cents”

That’s a deal for only $11.00.

Please don’t teach math to your children.
