We too, got sucked into the ILX Time-Share scam. We spent $8,695 and even upgraded to a 'Gold' membership. We negotiated the terms we wanted and signed a legal, valid, contract.

Not a week later, we get a package with a letter and new contract (with the same contract number!) expaining that the ILX Central Office can't meet the terms of the signed contract!

The 'new' contract has language that gets ILX $2000 a year earlier than what we had signed for!

We declined ILX's new 'contract',demanded our money back, cancelled our membership.

ILX then sent us another letter , attempting to set up still more terms that were not favorable to us.

we have sent a total of four demand letters and filed a complaint with the AZ Attorney General.

After about a year of sending demand letters, we followed the advice in your book and sent the demand letter(++s) to the central office by fax. We also E-mailed the top person in charge about our concerns. ILX then had a fast talker contact us to convince us to settle for extra weeks, free vacations, anything but our money back. We perservered, and ILX agreed to $ettle with u$, on our term$. Thanks!
