Complaint Review: Hughesnet

Hughesnet Exede internet Withdrew from checking acct. On an account closed almost year ago due to hurricane.

Thanks, we had Exede internet in Bon Wier Texas that was closed over a year ago due to last year's hurricane that destroyed the home. After the account was closed they kept billing the account and I subsequently was issued a new debit card number. The Exede modem was destroyed and Fema was notified of the loss.

I have no idea how they obtained my new debit number and have never authorized hughesnet to debit this account where they can plainly see there is no signal to the modem. There is no one living in the home and the electricity has been off for a long time. I have called them several times, my wife has called them only to hear the same message that they were experiencing heavy call volume.

I emailed them twice with all this information and got a response that my account could not be located. This is their way of hiding from the facts only to put money in their coffers. I have been back in California and they have tapped into my grocery money and my car insurance money. I am now on ssdi and cannot afford paying for no service I am receiving. Thank you again.
