Complaint Review: Hughes Network Systems LLC

Hughes Network Systems, LLC Did not let me know about Fair Access Policy. Have called numerous times concerning speed of satellite and was never told about FAP policy. Germantown Maryland

Didl not know about the FAP until yesterday, 9-20-08. HughsNet took over Direct Way and did not send out contracts or let us know about FAP. We were to understand nothing would change with the switch.

For the last few years we have called Custom Service to complain about the satellite speed. Worse than dial up. They would check system in INDIA and make a change here and there to satellite but by the next day we were back to slower speed again. No mention of FAP. Also very hard to understand technician in INDIA. What they did in INDIA to help me, who knows. I just have to believe they tried.

Now to get more MB so I am not slowed down, I have to spend more money a month. My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. Can not spend more money a month on this. $59.99 already to get satellite hook-up. We are in a rural area and are limited to satellite companies that can service us. Personally. I think HughesNet is a total rip off. My TV satellite is cheaper and goes 24/7 with no down time because I might watch it to much
