Complaint Review: Wolverine Siding - Household Remodelers

Household Remodelers replaced all the windows and siding on my home. When filling out the work order the salesman put a window count of 22. When the work was done (we wanted ALL windows replaced) the total came to 26. We were forced to pay an additional $520 per window.

Then the windows ALL leaked and the Wolverine siding buckled from being installed without room for expansion. After literally 20 phone calls Household finally came back and fixed the windows. They had been installed without flashing, without foam insulation, and without Tyvek tape.

The siding is still buckled and the sales representative, Mark Seef continues to dodge my calls. Finally, after calling him at his home he called me today and blamed Wolverine. I have had several siding installers visit my home to give me estimates of repair and every single one claims the problems is faulty installation. Mark Seef and Household Remodelers say the problem is with the siding and will send a manufacturer's representative to take a look.

I know that this is just more talk from a company that simply takes orders and sub-contracts the work to the lowest, Eastern European bunch of guys that are next on the list. After the initial order was taken we NEVER saw from the salesman, Mark Seef again.

I'll keep everyone posted on how things go. Meanwhile, stay away from Household Remodelers.
