I am writing this to warn others about how Helzberg Diamonds claims they stand behind their diamond jewelry, but really don't care. An anniversary ring under 2 years old, should not be shedding diamonds. My husband bought me this ring Oct. 2005. In June 2007, I noticed that one of the diamonds was a little lower than the other diamonds. I brought my ring into the Orland Park Mall Helzberg diamond store to be checked and cleaned. The employee said it looked fine and for me not to worry. Two months later the small diamond fell out. I brought it back to be replaced and was told that because I lost my card that I would have to pay to replace the diamond. If I went elsewhere to replace my diamond that it would not be covered in the future. I decided to have them repair it so it would be covered in the future. I not only contacted the manager of the Orland Park Store, I also contacted the HElzberg website. Neither place was interested in helping me. Obviously they do not care about retaining current customers. Anyone who thinks that Helzberg Diamonds cares about thier customers should take this letter as a warning. Helzberg Diamonds won this little battle, but in the long run they are the loosers. I noticed in reading the Rip Off report that there are many other unhappy former customers.
