Heartland America Delivered a "used, abused' (repair man's description) gas chain saw, wouldn't start, carburator and spark plug dirty, engine cover melted from overheating. Chaska, Minnesota
Ordered PoulonPro gas chain saw (Model PP3416 @ $125.74); wouldn't start, took to authorized Husquarna dealer/repair shop. Repairman said saw was used and abused; he had to clean carburator and spark plug, showed where the engine cover was melted from overheating, etc., and charged me $62.45 for repairs (ASJ Small Engines, etc. Gardnerville, NV). Saw still wouldn't start for me. Called Heartland America who said saw was guaranteed for 30 days by PoulonPro. PoulonPro's service rep said they do not guarantee "used" products. Husquarna (main company of which Poulon Pro is a division) service rep said they do sell "refurbished" items for re-sale (as by Heartland America) and guarantee for 30 days, but by then my thirty days were up. Also, we were told we did not consult the proper PoulonPro repair shop (which was 60 miles from our home). ASJ Small Engines was a Husquarna authorized dealer--listed on their website--a few miles from our home.
We feel the saw was falsly advertised and that we were given the "run around" by the manufacturer, the Poulon Pro department, and by Heartland America. We were sold a piece of junk.

I received a response from Heartland America after filing a BBB complaint. They offered to return our original cost if I returned the saw as per their instructions. I accepted this offer as the best I could expect.
