Complaint Review: Groupon

Groupon Deceptive advertising, they pretend to be a merchant you have done business with before, to sell you a bogus "offer" Chicago Illinois

I purchased wine from a legitimate retailer and was pleased with the product and service. A couple of months later I received an email that appeared to be from the same company offering a better price for a similar package, $25.00 better! What a deal! I thought it was odd that they required my credit card info before going any further. But I figured they already had my info from the previous purchase, so I filled in the fields.

As soon as I clicked "continue", the purchase was complete, I had purchased a coupon from Groupon. When I tried to use it there was an additional $36 due for shipping! No refunds, sorry. RIPOFF! The company's response to my complaint was:  " there is a fine print section with additional information "

Groupon is a RIPOFF, implying that they are a trusted merchant, selling coupons that represent no savings and hiding behind fine print that differs from advertising. DON'T BE SCAMMED, AVOID GROUPON
