Complaint Review: Great White Pool Service

I recently hired Great White Pool Service of Phoenix AZ to service my pool. I met with the owner Robin Wagner on a Monday and he was as nice as pie! I explained that I had guests flying out from New Jersey on Saturday and would like to have the pool ready for a weekend get together. He took a look at my pool and said it would be no problem. The price would be $70 per month plus the Chems.

I paid him $110 for the service and the visit. He stated his "guy" would be out on Wednesday to vacuum the pool and place the chemicals in and then balance the water. Well Wednesday came and went, and I called several times but could not get Robin on the phone nor anyone that could help me.

The next morning I started calling again and leaving messages. I never got a call back but a fellow did show up at around 3:00 in the afternoon. I was still ok with this figuring my pool would still be ready for the weekend like I was told. Well the "Pool Tec" that showed had orders "to backwash, vacuum and split" as he put it. That's right, No chemicals, no water balance, no swimming as promised.

When I questioned him about what was supposed to happen he said Robin never told him any of that. Besides not doing what I was promised, the "Pool Tec" Ryan, almost burned out my pump by not cleaning out the basket while backwashing! He also left the pool backwashing after he left, its a good thing I caught it or I would of had an empty pool to deal with! Anyway, I placed 5 calls to Robin the OWNER and finally got a call back. When I questioned him about what he told me was going to be done to the pool, He said ...and I quote: "I don't need your bullshit pool, I'm very busy!" So I questioned him about the money I paid and he said...and I quote again: "That was my service fee for coming out and looking at the pool, you can shock your own pool, I call it customer participation!" He hung up on me at this point in the conversation.

I dialed *69 to get his number and called his directly back. The conversation went like this..."WHAT" and I told him I want my money back and I am going to call the local news station and request a story to be done on his company and the rip-off artist he is. He then proceeded to tell me He was going to "kick my a*s in my own backyard" I said I would be watching him on the 6:00 news if he even stepped foot on my property.

Well that's where it stands... Please help; not necessarily for the money but just to give this "Licensed and Bonded" RIP OFF ARTIST his due...
