GoDaddy Fake auction - do not buy a domain from them, Internet
GoDaddy is dramatically inflating the cost of domains. The cost of a domain on GoDaddy was more than $1000 more than on Crazy Domains.
This is what happened.
I went to GoDaddy to buy a domain. I entered my preferred domain name, and GoDaddy said it was up for auction, and available for $1200.
$1200!?
The end date of the auction was TODAY: in fact, at any minute!
If I had reeeeeeally wanted the domain, I might have been thrown into a panic and bought the domain.
Luckily, I then went to another domain seller ("Crazy Domains"), and the SAME url was availabe for $7.
I will never be buying from GoDaddy again, and I would strongly recommend that you check other domain sellers before purchasing from GoDaddy.
GoDaddy - you're one mean Daddy.
