GMX Mail Service GMX Free Email, Global Mail Exchange GMX closed my email account for no apparent reason hundreds of contacts lost.
For 15 years I enjoyed Lycos free email. I moved to GMX mail when lycos shut down free accounts. After 9 months in I found the account locked. Appeals to their support resulted in a message this account will remain locked permently.
Not a heavy use account, regular email with friends and family. Shortly before it was closed I did receive the famous cartoons about Muhammed that created the stir a few years back, and the murder of a newspaper man.
I do wonder if this account was being read by someone who might have been offended by this. The service is based in Germany, which is filled with followers of the prophet. I will never use this service again.
