GM General Motors allowed one of its foreign owned needle bearing suppliers through poor audits to use low grade chineese material in its GF6 GT40 transmissions and hub spindle assemblies , this was done heavely on the "New GM" product and searching google on various terms like GM- hub- bearing -transmission- failure -problems (mix it up for different results) lots of low mileage failures and poor warranty support , hourly employees were directed under YC Kim of Hanwha Machinery Hanwha Solar to start using this product in a plant wide meeting, as problems arose with failures low level managment would blame a hourly employee for  "used wrong material" and spread the rumors, I filed a SEC security exchange commission complaint which was denied and not investigated, also the FTC was never adressed , I believe this problem was enabled by GM to try and control failures for the secondary owners with no recourse and quicker new car sales.
