I paid her for 4 sessions. She came to my house several times but only 1 time did she train my horse. The remainder of the time she just talked about herself. She agreed to help me pick out a saddle for my horse. The saddle she told me to buy didn't fit my horse. Ironically, it did fit her horse. She had the nerve to say that she didn't charge me. FOR WHAT? If she's so good, you think she would know the right size saddle for my horse. It wasnt even close. Her own horse was unruly and wild. She ran her horse until it was soaking wet from sweat on a 100* day. I should have realized then that she was a scam. She never did a thing with my horse the only time she worked with her. I'm glad because who knows what damage she could do? Very poor business management skill. Mostly targets people with money and leaches them dry. Pass, pass, pass on this one

Misrepresentation and slander!

I have known and worked with Gena as a satisfied and returning customer for close to 10 years now. I have a dominant and smart mustang who thinks a lil differently than most and likes to keep me on my toes. She has worked with me to better my horsemanship. Worked with my horse when we have conflicts that I did not have the experience to resolve on my own . Additionally she has helped my horse and I to not only understand eachother better but to also communicate better, and build trust in our relationship. And thats what it is a relationship, A dynamic, and mutually beneficial relationship so long as each partner is responsible and held accountable for their actions and resulting reactions. And that is what Gena teaches (if you take the time to listen, and process, and then act on what she has shared with you).

Each person and animal has their own unique personality complete with strength and flaws, Gena teaches you to work together and work through the differences in openion. Thats why she calls it Togetherness Training! Gena is reliable and works very hard to be honest and fair to both horse and person. Sometimes it can be hard to accept and admit your own faults and take responsibility for your part of the equation. I have seen Gena over the years go above and beyond (with myself and others) to help people and horses, regardless of financial ability or limits. So to say she "mostly targets people with money and leaches them dry” is outright slander!

As for her not charging for help with a tedious saddle fitting saddle fitting, look into a professional service. They will charge upwards of $300-500 and there is usually a grace period for returns because you cant tell the fit is right for sure until you get the horse moving under it and see how it moves ( or doesn’t) with the horse. Every horse and saddle is built different. Its like buying jeans, different brands and different styles, fit different bodies in different ways!!!

Gena has come to my house many times to help with everything from pasture management and feed options, to barn safety & efficiency, and help with trailering. Not to mention her advice, knowledge, and help in an emergency choke situation until the vet could get there. Horses, like people have good and bad days. And horses like people need a balance of firm discipline and moments of empathy & grace. Gena is exceptionally good at reading the situation and utilizing the most effective route. The misrepresentation and slander in this negative comment deeply offend me as Gena has proven to me and many other satisfied customers time and again what a truly gifted horse trainer is capable of.

I am a client of Gena's, and have been for a couple of years. I rode one time with "D" a couple of weeks ago, and I can only say that having met her just the one time, I knew I was going to tell Gena I didn't want to ride with her again. She talks over you, doesn't listen, kept saying "I know" like a four year old every time you tried to give her pointers. I heard about the saddle incident...and the hours spent at the used saddle connection trying multiple saddles to find the right one for her horse, (as anyone in the horse world knows a good saddle fit takes a lot of trial and error)-what D has said about it is just untrue...but since I wasn't there, all I can say is I know Gena well, I've worked with her for over two years, not just 4 sessions, and she's been amazing with my horse...she trains other horses at my barn too. And the snarky comment about Gena targeting rich people is just laughable...I am in no way rich...I work in the Operating Room and make just enough to support my horse habit. If you need a trainer, I highly recommend Gena, and invite anyone to contact me and meet my horse. The worst thing about the internet is that people can say things about others without having to prove anything they are saying, and ruin a reputation that took years to build. Please do your research...Gena is a very knowledgeable trainer !
