Complaint Review: Geico Direct Insurance

Geico Direct Insurance Sucks. Poor Claim Practices, Lying Agents and poor service.

Due to Geico's insured my 2000 Pontiac Firebird sustained $2800.00+ in damages. After squabbling and Geico dragging their feet they finally accepted the fact that their insured was responsible. This was even after doing an "investigation" and after reviewing the police report.

Nonetheless, the car was brought in to a repair shop where it had the frame pulled, new fender, blended paint, a used bumper place on it the car, and who knows what else. Needless to say since the car was only a 1 year old at the time of the wreck and it requiring a body shop and a paint job the value of the vehicle would be hurt in a negative fashion.

After asking Geico to pay my diminished value claim they indicated there was no such thing as diminished value. After finally hiring a private apprisial company and supplying that information to Geico they did indicated there was such a thing as diminished value but my car didn't sustain any and they wouldn't pay the $2501.00 that my appraisal found I was owed by Texas Law. After many letters, converstations and more I am still not back to pre-loss condition.
