I contacted Gateway to get simple documentation for a video card that THEY put in their system to find out how to get dual monitor support. They are complete morons. They told me I had to pay 200 dollars to get an answer to the simple question of. Does your video card that you put in YOUR system support dual video. Their support team is a bunch of parrots. They repeat the same thing over and over again and go to the farthest degree to make sure your questions do not get answered. DO NOT BUY A GATEWAY!!!!

I'm Network+ Security+ and A+ Certified IT Professional for a living and these guys are so incompetent that it blows me away! Their support is bad, the documentation on their site is incomplete / lacking. It is hard to find a way to contact them and for every little issue they force you to pay 200 dollars to get a solution or resolution. Or even an answer to a simple question. Unacceptable!!

I'm scrapping this gateway system and building one from scratch. It is junk. Junk components junk support junk company.

They told me the video card in THEIR system was not factory installed hardware.

"this is to inform you that the expertise with Gateway Technical support is limited to factory installed hardware. Therefore in order to assist you with the best possible solution we have a dedicated team called “Pay for Support” who are specialists in providing resolution on out of warranty issues."

This is a lie. It came installed in the computer. Morons. The quote above is from them. On the next reply:

"Thank you for contacting Gateway. I’ll be happy to assist you.
I apologize for the inconvenience happened. I understand the situation, however we will not recommend or support to connect dual monitors and we are not providing any cables for that."

Their next reply concludes they did not even check with the manufacturer of THEIR video card installed stock in THEIR system would work or not work with dual video.

Save yourself a headache. Buy an HP, a Dell ANYTHING but a gateway.
