Complaint Review: Hurley State Bank & Gateway Computers

Gateway & Hurley State Bank Hurley Bank ripoff con-artists took my money & didn't pay gateway. Gateway now wants payoff. Gray Tennessee

I called Gateway to purchase a computer. They turned down my credit. A week later I got a call from them, they changed their mind. Talked me into buying a computer. Computer was not what I thought it would be for the price.

I started making payments, then received a letter from Hurley Bank saying they were taking over account. So I started making payments to them over and above stated monthly payments.

But noticed they were not sending me monthly statements on the account. With each payment I included a note asking for statement so I could keep track of account. Not once did they send me a statement.

So I finally included in my last payment to them they I was stopping payments until they could find the time to start sending me statements on the bill.

The computer was inferior, Hurley State bank kept the money and now the bill is up for collection for $1800 on a $1200 account even after my paying them and Gateway approx. $800 on it.

Who's getting screwed here, it looks like me.
