A friend and I went to RightWay automotive to purchase cars in May 2004. We spoke with a guy name James(who by the way no longer works there)and he ran our credit check. After being told that we had little or no credit,we were prepared to walk away. After spending the whole day in there we finally got a breakthrough,so we thought. They were able to get us financed through GateWay. During the paperwork process James had us do alot of signing and intialing, something weren't filled in. We went out and test drove a couple of cars. There was not much to choose from since we lack credit(but I thought our jobs was credit)so we got to drive two 95 Luminas. My friend didn't like either of the cars so now they are going to do us a favor. They let him test drive a 96 Lincoln. Since he's getting a good deal on the Lincoln and RightWay is losing money giving us this deal we no longer get our warranty. I didn't have a choice but to accept one of the Luminas, which needed work and they didn't fix them. I didn't get all my paperwork that day either cause 3 months later I get the full disclosure of what these vehicles is costing us. This where the high financing comes in to play. As time goes on and we are making our monthly payments on time, we start having problems with the cars. My friend's motor blewout first, while he was out of town, after only having it a year that was 5/05. Now it is 3/06 and my motor blows in my car so I call the finance company. Not knowing my motor was going to blow I paid my carnote ahead about 3 month almost $1000 I sent these people. This was the last year for me to pay on this car,I'm thinking that they could have fix the motor and apply it to my payments. They came and took the car, claim they sold it but are trying to make me pay the remaining balance of what I owed and I no longer have transportation.I lost a good job because of this car. Now they are threating to sue me and garnish my income. Like I told I have a family and other bills to pay so I can't go out my way paying on a car I no longer can operate, especially not on their terms.
