FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS and SPECTRUM -- AKA BrightHouse AKA - CHARTER COMMUNIATIONS SEE ABOVE Woiuldn't provide my existing ph# - first bill totally incorrect - overcharged - VERY difficult to reach a competent human agent - promised broken - constant delays in correcting their mistakes - Will not communicate in a competent manner - poorly trained uniformed agents - many many strange charges which do not make sense - LONG LONG telephone waits to speak with proper person - broken promise to correct mistakes - broken promise to communicate vital information - poor tech service - difficult hard to understand instructions given by robots - little personal attention to common courtesy - inconsistent price quotations - MANY Hidden charges

This actually a complaint on TWO telecommunications providers. One is FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS and the other is SPECTRUM COMMUNICATIONS. I will make this report mainly on Frontier and a separate one for SPECTRUM. I had been so badly by Spectrum tat I could no longer tolerate the cheating the fraud the rude treatment the in competence and the outright lies by Spectrum.

My first problem with FRONTIER was that I was told i could NOT retain my original phone# of many years. That was real inconvenience - but not a problem that would warrant this report. It took FRONTIER a LONG time ( better than a week) to get my service changed. I asked for only the phone service and the internet service. I was then convinced to go with a bundled plan which included the TV service supposedly FREE - for a year. I asked if there was any hidden charges etc . I was assured there was not.. I asked for the best price for what I wanted - which was internet and phone. I was quoted $80. When I got my first bill it was a lot higher so i called and spoke with another mature seasoned rep. She quoted my $50. Even though the TV was presented as free for a 12 month period - this was NOT TRUE. it implied several other charges such as a set-top box which I did not need. I was told there were no installation charges - yet I was charged an addiional $10 for shipping and handling of the modem. What utter b*******! more lies more fraud. The tech brough the modem with him as he had to have it because it was essentially what he did when he came to the house.

The list of additional charges was a follows:: and I just can'r make all this strange stuff up! ===== = Broadcast TV surcharge. regulatory charge - Federal USF Recovery charge - Count communications service tax - Fl State Gross Receipts tax - Fl State sales tax -Fl State gross receipts tax ( residential) - FL telecommunications services tax - County video communications services tax -VoIP administrative tax - Regional sports tax - VoIP - equipment handling fee - Video tax . It was like a list of 'mafia services' on the 'Godfather I now waiting for my bill to be adjusted as promised by their rep. It still hasn't happened. It has been like dealing with mobsters con artists. Try this:-. Google; Frontier are scam artists. .= 2,700,000 HITS !!!
