I placed an order with Frederick's of Hollywood approximately 6 weeks ago. After 4 weeks of waiting, they sent me a postcard telling me that the corset I ordered was sold out. I finally received the shoes around the end of October, but they were the wrong color. It was right on the order; they just shipped me the wrong color. Upon visiting their website for some contact information, I discovered the corset that I ordered was still being offered, even though it was sold out. After contacting them via email, they dismissed their poor service with a lousy apology. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER IS LONG DISTANCE! (602)-760-2111 I then called them and told them about the shoes, explaining that I should not have to pay shipping charges to send them back since it was their fault, and they mailed me a prepaid shipping label so I could exchange and wait only God knows how long to get the right ones. Basically, what I am upset with is the following:

1) If they cannot fulfill an order, they should alert the customer immediately. It would be nice if they would offer, even a small discount, towards a future purchase. They waited 4 weeks to get around to telling me that they could not fulfill my order. THEY ALSO NEED TO KEEP THEIR WEBSITE UPDATED! IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING AS A CONSUMER, TO SEE SOMETHING I WANT, ORDER IT, AND THEN BE TOLD LATER THAT I CANNOT HAVE IT. They could avoid a lot of unhappy customers if they would simply update their website and catalog with items that are currently sold out.

2) WHY DO I HAVE TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN I'M ALL READY UPSET, AND FEEL THAT I HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCED? THEY NEED (!!!!) A TOLL-FREE CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER WITH OPERATORS TO ANSWER THE PHONE. They need to wake up and realize that good customer service is the key to repeat business.

3) I still have to wait to get the right color shoes after waiting 6 weeks. Bottom line, I was inconvenienced. And Frederick's of Hollywood has shown me that they don't care me as a customer.
