My 2006 Ford Taurus had a leak on the front passenger floor board during a very rainy day. The leak appeared to be coming from behind the glove box. First I asked one dealership about the leak, and they told me "its going to be expensive because thats a specialty service." "We have to have a special water leak service come look at your vehicle." I beleive his name is Mike at Gordie Boucher Ford in Janesville, WI., which I would NEVER reccommend going to.

So I call another dealership, Tom Peck Ford, in Clinton, WI, and over the phone they told me they were almost positive the problem was the car needed the updated cowl, and that the cabin filter area needed a rain hat/seal. Of course the warranty just expired not too long ago. At least Tom Peck Ford seems straight up and isnt out to rip you off like other Ford Dealerships.

So its a $160 repair, ($90 worth of labor.) Tom Peck Ford went on to explain to me on the phone that my leak is "a very common problem with the Taurus'." Okay, then why do they keep manufacturing these cars year after year without the proper parts and seal? (Thats kind of a rhetorical question, I guess.) To make a long story short, Ford Mo. Co. couldn't give a d**n, and sure as hell couldn't answer my question as to why they KNOWINGLY make these cars without the updated cowl, and "rainhat/seal" over the cabin filter area.

The leak is fixed, but it should never have happened in the first place. But I guess they screwing people over.

So while I was complaining to Fords so called customer service center, I brought up Gordie Boucher and how crooked I think they are. They immediately tell me the dealerships are independantly owned so they can't control how they treat Ford's customers. The lady on the phone said to me "well sir, you can go to one dealership and get treated like crap, and go to another dealership across the street and get treated like gold." Wow! WTF!! So as far as Ford's customer service center goes, that must be privately owned too because that sucks majorly as well.

It should be noted that I went to Gordie Boucher because I had moisture in my tail light when the car was under the original warranty, and Gordie Boucher Ford tells me they have to do "digital imaging" on it and send it to Ford before they can warranty it. So I told them to pound sand up their asses with their elbows and I went to Tom Peck Ford. They immediately said they would order the new tail light assembly and let me know when it was in. It was all under warranty. Incredible..no "digital imaging" bullshit!!

Ford should be downright ashamed of how they treat their customers after the sale!!!!!
