I recieved a letter from First Financial Security Inc stating that I had won a 2006 promotional sweepstakes lottery from North American pool in the amount of 95,000 held on May 31st, 2007. Enclosed was a check for 4500.00 which appears to be real when you examine it. It even had the HBO logo and home office address on the check as well to make seem as authentic as possible. The letter states that the check is to enable you to pay applicable government/bond fees and administrative costs for the prize money which is payable through money gram or western union locations. This automatically raised the flags for me, so I called the number(it was already after hours) just to hear the response of the voicemail or answering service; The recording stated 'Trinity Financial Management." At this point with letter having one company name and the phone number having another company name, I knew this was a scam, so I got on the internet and seached for Trinity financial management to see what would come up, and this site came up with four reports of the same company and letters. I will report this to our state police and FBI as well. Thanks to this website you saved me research time and I hope that others who recieve this scam letter will see these report as well.
