I received my March 2003 statment and it read that FCNB has terminated my charging priveleges with no explanation. I have always paid my account on time and could not understand what I did s I tried to call them but could not talk to NO ONE! I tried the number and even the webpage and could not be found.

I did not know (until now) that they have bankrupt and others have been trying to reach them as I was. I thought another company had just bought them out and when I tried to reach that number I get no one as well. I then get another statement telling me that in August 2003 telling me that my FCNB credit card is being transferred to First National Bank of Omaha and that this is an attempt to collect a debt...my God, I have been paying them accordingly to date and know it's on my credit report that their trying to collect this bad debt.

Is there a class action lawsuit out there? If so let me know as I am with all of you!

Bankrupt and going out of business

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, October 08, 2003

NEWPORT NEWS INC.(Newport News, VA.), has gone bankrupt and is closing it's doors after Thanksgiving 2003 (according to Daily Press Newspaper In Newport News, VA.) This article gave information on unemployment statisics. This must be the reason why they cut off credit lines to all customers. GATEWAY COMPUTERS,(Hampton, VA.), has also laid off employees and is closing it's business.
