At this moment I'm headed to court on 10/22/08, three wks from now for the collection company, Pollack & Rosen in Coral Gables, Fl for mediation on $1,044 {approx}. I was served by a process server today at my home. I had paid on this some years ago & before they went belly up & sold the acct I owed approx $626/656; I paid this with some of my income tx money. After that I didn't receive any statements from them, not even one acknowledgement that they had gotten the payment and how much was still due.

Let's just say responsibility goes both ways - FCNB to keep consistant communications - stmts, ltrs, etc as well as for me to call to let them know that I felt that I paid what I felt was right under the sitituation. I had communicated to their staff how I felt about being charged those overlimit fees when the institution had went bankrupt. It was a little a yr after I paid them that I was contacted about the balance now at approx a little over a $1000 due to both overlimit fees and late charges. I can understand late charges but overlimit because legally they can.

At the current time I'm unemployed & haven't worked since 12/07, my unemployment was denied some time ago.
