Experian CreditWorks Experian dropped my FICO score 41 points! Allen Texas

I received an email alert from Experian CreditWorks notifying me that they have dropped my FICO score 41 points! The link they provided to find out the cause led me to a section on their website promoting me to pay them $24.99 each month to "upgrade" my account with them.

This is extortion! They lower your credit score. Doubtless if you upgrade to monthly paid monitoring they will magically boost it! I'm NOT paying them so much as a dime for such an obvious fraud! I checked my FICO score with a different source and found it has risen! I didn't have to submit to paying that other source for that information or FICO score upgrade.

These credit bureaus are squeezing us with their fraudulent system! This came across like a mobster's protection racket! "If you pay us protection we'll lay off you. If you don't we'll use our system to squeeze you by lowering your credit rating."

Good luck getting anywhere and doing anything worthwhile in this nation with a poor credit score. I have a very good credit rating. This company is setting out to ruin it and me for greed and profit!

Well if you actually spent any time on this site you would realize that the people posting (including myself) are just regular consumers. And contrary to what you think, just because something you don't like is posted doesn't mean it's wrong, and it doesn't mean anyone works for the company.

Sorry if telling you how Credit Scores actually work hurt your feelings, or sent you into some sort of rant against Credit Agencies.

But I noticed in your rant you failed to do the one thing I said to do...go to your other service and see what your CURRENT score was, not one that was done a couple of weeks ago. As since you seem to not be able to see the forest through the trees, if your other current report from the other site didn't show the lower FICO you may have a valid claim.

By the way, your EXPERIAN credit report is maintained by EXPERIAN, so EXPERIAN can "look" at your information without your permission.

Credit agencies are OUT OF CONTROL with no accountability and oversight.
Which is it? Just a few sentences before you were trying to explain how many laws were violated, now there is no oversight? Of course, I guess you forgot about the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Fair Credit Billing Act, not to mention States that may have their own additional regulations. After you read those laws how about coming back and posting exactly what laws they violated?

What’s your official capacity with Experian?

Exactly who are you; a company representative; public affairs agent, paid troll or shill. I saw zero evidence from you of any official capacity. Your snarky attempts at gaslighting me is weak, juvenile and pathetic! Your unsubstantiated debunking and rejecting, further shows me just how unethical and shady your company operates.

So, are you publicly admitting you examined my credit file without my giving you my express consent and permission? If you did so, violating privacy laws, state and federal enforcement will need to get involved. If you did, you LIED! You weren’t with me looking over my shoulder to looking at and seeing what I was seeing.

I did delver deeper than you claim I didn’t. Your lame attempt to claim I showed no evidence is for others to judge (some, no doubt have their own experiences). In life I’ve learned that it often only requires one standing and giving voice, for others to likewise find their voices and come forth.

Credit agencies are OUT OF CONTROL with no accountability and oversight. You started out ruining lives of misfortune folks in poor circumstances. Now your greed has led to to contemptuously start reaching after people with good standing. I’m showing the world just how shiftless and debase your operations are. Guess what?

People have let me know they believe it, because they have experienced similar, if not the same. Your playhouse is getting wrecked by the simple folks you’ve screwed over in your overreach!

Credit Scores

Experian didn't "Drop" your score. Your score is calculated by what is reported on your Credit Report. Every time something changes on your Credit Report your score can change.

Your "proof" that it didn't fall was a score generated on September 11th. From your image, the score that they said fell was generated on 9/25.

You should have gone into your other site and gotten a CURRENT score that was generated on or after 9/25 to see if it in fact did change.

If it did change you need to see what on your Credit Report has changed.
