I purchased a desktop computer from EPC Parts on April 17, 2003. The price for the computer was $599, $99 for a monitor,$70 to upgrade the memory and hard drive, and $99 for shipping. I received the computer on May 12 but no monitor. The System Information Sheet indicated no upgrades had been installed.

I called the company. They advised to wait for the monitor, set the system up, then check to see if upgrades were installed. On May 19 the monitor arrived and the system was set up. There were no upgrades! I called the company and the rep said UPS would pick up the computer in 24-72 hrs. at my school. I was reassured EPC Parts would pay for shipping there and back. All upgrades would be taken care of and the computer returned.

After waiting a week and no UPS I called the company. Customer rep apparently had no authorization to tell me EPC Parts would pay for shipping. On the phone I agreed to return the computer for the upgrades. I would pay for shipping there and EPC Parts would pay for return shipping. I shipped the computer on May 27 with UPS. On June 21 I received the the computer back. No upgrades had been made! There was some scribbling on the box that said "not received." The box had not been opened. I still have a computer that lacks the upgrades I paid for. I still have tried to communicate with them but they have failed to return my calls or email.
