ePCparts touted itself as being a "major national computer notebook manufacturer and one of the nations largest suppliers to schools and governments."

I responded to the email(which was sent to my work email in Fairfax County Public Schools, Va.)on October 7, 2003 and spoke with "Derreck" who took my order. I transfered $715.00 through my bank to their company for the order, and was told that I would receive the computer in 14 - 21 days.

After a month, I began requesting a refund. The company was incredibly unresponsive. I have only talked to two live people in the past 7 months. They both stated that my refund request was being "processed" through their refund department.

The only way to contact anyone in the refund department is through email, and the same "autoresponse" has been received each time. The autoresponse states that someone will be in touch within 24 hours. WRONG!

I am no further along than I was 7 months ago. I am out $714, and I do not have a laptop.

This company is so low to prey on school system employees who do not have the resources of large businesses. Employees, who assumed that this was a school sanctioned transaction, and accepted the terms on good faith. This company STEALS, and there is no other way to put it.

I hope that no one else is taken by their thoughtless scheme.
