I purchased an Emachine CPU plus monitor flat screen and a Lexmark printer on October 25th, 2005. I bought this package from Best Buy. Now there were 4 rebates, one for the printer, one for Best Buy and then two from Emachine, one for the monitor which was $50 and CPU which was also $50.

I sent all the rebates and things that have to go with the rebates by November 5th, 2005. I received my rebate checks from Lexmark and Best Buy before December 1st, 2005, but I never got any thing from Emachines-Gateway. I kept emailing them and they kept saying wait.

I finally got a different response from someone at Gateway telling me to send a Fax with my information. I sent them a fax March 1, 2006 and I got the response that my rebates have been declined because they are not with in the correct time frame. Emachine's stated that the postal service lost the rebates. I told them that is not true because all of my letters had return address labels, plus the other mail that I sent that day for all the other rebates and other important items, were all received.

If they are not going to honor their rebates, then they need to be fined by the FCC, plus they are not honoring the truth in advertising. They are doing the old bait and switch to consumers. State one thing, then not honor what they advertise.

If there is a law suit or legal action, please let me know. Oh I did notice that it was either Gateway or Emachines that are listed on BBB, not good reports.
