Complaint Review: EaseUs

EaseUs Software did not work, refused refund Sichuan Providence

Was in a panic because I accidentally deleted a project file and was losing dozens of hours of work, so I googled "how to retrieve deleted files" and EaseUs Easy Data Recovery was the first hit.

The ad was convincing, promising data retrieval with a simple one-click software/process.  They even offered a 100% satisfaction or full refund.  There was also a discount  AND a free trial.  So, what did I have to lose?

I downloaded the software trial version and ran it.  I found the file, so I clicked the button.

"Must purchase to use this feature"

So much for free.. .but with the discount, $60 isn't awful to save so much work....but in the checkout, no discount.  Full price, so $79.36.

I should have listen to the warning bells going off in my head.

In this far I decide to see it through.  I followed the directions.  My software didn't recognise the file.

I requested a refund, but was told I have to try to resolve the issue with support (not what the refund claim was).  The support run-around was several attempts at "try this", "now try that" (and so on).  I kept asking for the promised refund, but was denied.  Then they wanted me to allow remote access to my computer.  I refused so they used it as a loophole to deny refund.
