I am adding a copy of the last letter I wrote to E-Credit Soluitons. A copy of the letter was also sent to the Better Business Bureau. The letter pretty much sums up what is going on. I have written over fifteen letters to E credit solutions. I have phoned countless times and I have faxed them. I filed a complaint with the BBB in December of 2001. I asked for a refund. The company replied by stating "Ms. Key has not yet called the sales floor to join the ECS credit program. Ms. Key's credit offer will remain closed and inactive." I don't want to join their program. When I recieved the packet in the mail I discovered it wasn't what I wanted or what I was solicited. I phoned the company the day I recieved it and asked for a refund. A year later I'm still asking and they still have not answered. Please Help!! Here is the letter: E-Credit Solutions 9590 NW 25th street Miami FL 33172 To whom it may concern: In July of 2001 we spoke to one of your representatives about obtaining a credit card. We agreed to the one time fee of $199.95 for the unsecured credit card. The $199.95 was withdrawn from our account on July 9th 2001. When we received your packet in the mail we discovered it was not what we wanted. We were under the impression that it was an actual credit card not an Earn a Bank Card or a merchandise card good only for your catalog. We immediately called your customer service line and asked for a refund. We were told that according to your policy you must review phone records before you could issue us a refund and we should call back at a later date. On August 27th your company withdrew $99 from my bank account without my permission. I filed a complaint with my bank and wrote your company several letters asking why the money was withdrawn. I received no reply. I called again several weeks later like we were asked and were told there was a problem with the recordings and we needed to call back on October 12th 2001. No one knew anything about the $99. We called again on October 12th and were then told that they could not locate the recorded phone call. We again asked for a refund. We were transferred from one representative to another for some period of time. Each representative transferred us to someone else but no one could give us the refund we requested. I mailed your company over twelve letters after this phone call. None of them were responded to. On November 20th your company again withdrew money from my bank account without my permission. This time in the amount of $14.94. I again filed a complaint with my bank and wrote your company several letters, none of them were responded to. Because you kept withdrawing unauthorized money from my account I was forced to change my account numbers to prevent you from doing it again. After much paperwork my bank refunded the two transactions for $99 and $14.95. After waiting over four months for you to respond to phone calls, letters and faxes I contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. You received an inquiry dated December 21, 2001. You replied to the Better Business Bureau with a letter that stated: I have searched my database extensively and have concluded that Ms. Key has not yet called the sales floor to join the ECS credit program. Ms. Key's credit offer will remain closed and inactive. I have called the sales floor' several times and asked for a refund. I do not want to join the ECS program'. I want my money back. Furthermore you explained the process involved in the E-credit Solution Program. They are told the program in an, Earn a Bank Card Program. We were under the impression that this was an unsecured credit card. They order from our catalog, by charging $99, then making 3 on time payments, they are then guaranteed a visa. At no point are they guaranteed a specific line on the visa. We then let them know there is a one time processing fee of $199.95. We were charged the fee' before we even received the so-called credit card' in the mail. We were also under the impression that we would have a credit of $99 to spend on merchandise from your catalog. It was not to our understanding that we must purchase $99 worth of merchandise form your company and pay for it before we would receive your so-called unsecured credit card. Your company also stated you are then entitled to a complete refund within 30 days of receipt of the package. We phoned your company the day we received the package and asked for a complete refund. I do not want to join the ECS program. I do not want your credit offer. I want the $199.95 refunded to me. STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public?
