Took my neighbors mower to them for a simple carburetor rebuild. After they opened up the carburetor and seeing how gunked up it was. They told my neighbor he needed a new carburetor. So that's $65 to tell him that plus $195 for the carburetor plus $60 labor. I brought the mower back home and ordered $40 worth of parts and gaskets and rebuilt the carburetor myself. The mower runs beautifully. I understand businesses need to make money. But I don't think they should try to screw people out of money the way they did.
