Complaint Review: Domenick Legal Group

In its current form, this post is a disservice to homeowners looking for legitimate attorney assistance, and is unduly causing damage to the good name of Mortgage Relief Project. 

During our six year existence, we have helped thousands of homeowners obtain legal services for mortgage and foreclosure related matters.  From those thousands of homeowners, you will not find a single complaint on the internet.  Additionally, we have provided tens of thousands of website visitors with valuable information and resources designed to assist them with mortgage and foreclosure issues.

Unfortunately, our name has been mentioned in a Rip Off Report complaint that is essentially between a law firm and their client.  The law firm mentioned is Domenic Legal Group, PLLC.  The client remains anonymous, which is unfortunately a policy of Rip Off Report.  While we respect the principles which inspired Rip Off Report, we believe that we are unfairly mentioned in this complaint by a distraught homeowner.

In our six years of existence, we have performed marketing support services for dozens of law firms and attorneys.  While we perform our due diligence on each attorney we promote, it is impossible for us to know how any particular attorney may perform.  Accordingly, we cannot and will not be responsible for the performance of any particular attorney.  MRP performs no legal services, and accepts no money from consumers.  All inquirers are simply introduced to law firms offering the legal services they seek.  That is where our role ends, and any agreements between homeowner and attorney do not involve us.

While we are unable to offer an opinion regarding the merits of the complaint between the anonymous client and Domenick Legal Group, we can say that the matter prompted a restriction, and subsequent termination of prospect delivery to Domenick Legal Group, in accordance with our internal "zero tolerance" policy.

I am a former client of Domenick Legal and am disappointed to read your experience with them, in part because my experience was just the opposite.  I learned a lot about the how banks work and how the whole process works, and I think what the banks do to homeowners is really criminal.  I saw your report because I referred a friend to them and they saw this report so after I read it I thought it would be fair to share my story.  I offered to share my story to Mr. Domenick but learned that he isn’t allowed to use testimonials or results of cases because of client confidentiality rules.

I won’t say that Domenick Legal was the fastest experience I ever had, and I don’t know if it was their fault or just how my bank dragged its feet, but in the end it worked for me and I still have my house and my mortgage is better. I also paid thousands of dollars but none of the attorneys I spoke with or met with ever lied to me.  I didn’t always like what they told me but they never told me just what I wanted to hear.  They did the work they said they would do, and then some, and at the end they gave me a complete record of the work they did.  They sued my bank like they said they would, they got it settled, it took almost 6 months, it wasn’t pain free but it wasn’t their fault I was in trouble.

I believe that the staff really does care and don’t think it is fair to say they don’t, and in my opinion did a good job.  I researched them before I signed on found mostly good things on line, but there were some bad reports to. More good than bad.  I just think that there are two sides to every story and mine was good. I still referred my friend and will continue to refer people in trouble to Domenick Legal.  I don’t think they are a rip off.
