Dolphin American Services - L&J Marine - Dave Keeling - Mark Read - Neil Read Wrong parts fitted to boat causing more damage and faliure to repair this damage New Milton United Kingdom
When my boat lost drive I instructed Dave Keeling of L&J Marine to repair the problem.
After 18 months of heartache, lack of use of the boat and a huge amount of moneY it was established by a marine surveyor that the incorrect parts had been fitted to the gearbox of my boat.
During the 18 months Dave Keeling was given ample opportunity to repair his poor workmanship only to wrongly diagnose the problem and replace other parts that were in fact not the problem.
After giving Dave Keeling ample opportunity to repair the boat or give a reund on the incoorect parts a lengthy court case pursued, the court ruled that L&J Marine sould pay us 11,000 (less that this whole episode cost us) and issued a CCJ against L&J Marine.
Dave Keeling refused to pay the CCJ and responded by supposedly handing his marine work over to another dealer, L&J Marine are worthless and due to lack of funds cannot repay the debt, which is still sitting there accumulating interest.
Dave Keeling then set up Dolphin American Serives with Mark & Neil Read, they predominently work on American cars but still carry out work on boats.
Needless to say Dave Keeling belongs on this website, as he is a total rip-off merchant.

Since my last report, Neil & Mark Read have obviously realised the nature of their partner DAVE KEELING and gone it alone. Good for them - it took a while but they got there in the end.

Paul Etheridge.
Obviously, as anyone with any sense knows, there are always two sides to every story. Thankfully our existing and new customers, who have read this letter from Paul Etheridge, have had the sense to hear the other side and judge for themselves.
I would like to thank Mr Etheridge for the advertising this letter has generated, as we have had calls from customers who found all our details on the letter and having explained the full facts to them, have received requests and bookings to carry out work on their engines, marine and auto. The revenue this has produced is all due to this letter so thank you again for the advertising.
Just to clarify, Mr Etheridge's issues were with Windbarter Ltd t/a L & J Marine who's assets were sold and the company ceased trading last autumn after over a year of winding down, and has nothing to do with Dolphin American Services, which was established in 1993, and of which Mr Etheridge has never been a customer. David Keeling was a director of both companies but neither Neil nor I have ever had any business dealings with Mr Etheridge.
