Have tried to work with Dishnetwork over and over all these years and this is the same response I get everytime. This is a response given by a Dishnetwork Rep:

"Hi , Thank you so much for your patience. I did receive the request ledger today. I am showing the remaining balance of $106.91 was for programming that was unpaid. On your bill dated August 15th, your previous balance was $157.53, a payment was received for $82.00 on August 8th. Another billing cycle was added to this bill and the amount due was $160.49. Your account was voluntarily disconnected on September 8th. After all the charges were reversed on this bill, the remaining balance due as printed on the bill generated September 8th, 2006, was $106.90. That is the amount we show is due to Dish Network. The payment can be made directly to Dish Network or to the collection agency. We can provide you will a zero balance due letter after payment has processed. We only remove information from credit reports when and if it was Dish Networks error that caused the charge. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you. "

Five years ago there was miscommunication between me and a representative from Dishnetwork in reference to my final bill. All equipment was sent back according to their policy and there was a zero balance due at closure according to the rep. I went out of country on a military assignment and when I got back I had a collection account on my credit report stating I owe $106.90 from dishnetwork. I have tried over 5 years to get this corrected but the company will not budge on their decision to keep the collection account on my credit report even though I had no chance to clear up this matter back when it happened due to me being over seas. This is an amount of $106.90 that I would of gladly payed back when it happened to keep the account from going as far as it did. The statement from the representative above states that they can remove information from credit reports when and if it was Dishnetwork's error that caused the charge. So it can be done. The next response I get from the Dishnetwork rep was:

"Hi , I can certainly understand your frustrations on this matter but I have pulled the bills we sent you on August 15, 2006, September 8th,2006 and they all show a balance due. Your final bill was the September 8th bill and it clearly shows the amount due is $106.90. I understand that you left the country but at no time did Dish Network represent to you that your account was paid in full. I can request that the information be sent to you for your records but non-payment programming charges cannot be removed. I wish I could have been of more service to you on this issue. "

My question is how did the representive know what myself and the other rep discussed 5 years ago. Basically stating that no Dishnetwork representative makes no mistakes when discussing account information. Maybe this is why this sight was developed because of NO mistakes companies have made especially Dishnetwork.

I'm sorry that this happened, but DishNetwork was a terrible choice to begin with, they have very bad customer service, and almost every other company hates them. In fact they have a terrible overall business plan and management. due to their stupid idea to sue several companies, they no longer have FOX channels, ESPN channels, The Weather Channel, and more channels. Dish Network independent dealers have repeatedly been charged and fined for employing illegal telemarketing tactics, such as violating do not call lists and making calls in which a live telemarketer does not connect promptly after the call is answered. Most recently, Dish Network has moved proactively with legal action against independent dealers committing such violations. Furthermore, beginning in late 2008 and continuing as late as January 8, 2009, Dish Network has launched a campaign to terminate agreements with independent dealers regarding
business practices that defraud either the customer or Dish Network itself. Press releases have been issued just about monthly with a new list of dealers who have been terminated from their association with Dish Network. Despite this, in March 2009 the Federal Trade Commission charged Dish Network and two of its dealers with multiple violations of
the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991. n 2004, thirteen states charged that Echostar, parent company of Dish Network, had not disclosed termination fees to potential customers and
had debited customers' bank accounts for hidden fees. The company settled the lawsuit, paid $5 million, and promised to disclose all terms prior to signing contracts with potential customers. Dish Network, while promising "Free HD For Life" and "your local stations" to most customers, fails to disclose to most of those customers that those local stations are not presented in HD, and also refuses to speculate when local stations will be offered in HD.
