Discover Card credit check, credit card Internet
I applied for a new credit card. I then got a letter from them saying I had to provide additional information to confirm my identity. But they did not say what it was they needed, and there was no way to contact them. I wrote them a letter, but never heard back. They never did give me an answer on whether or not I my credit card application was approved. Impossible to get a response from these guys!!

I did not post this so that idiots like you could troll and make condescending comments like that. First, it was not declined- no decision was ever rendered, and second why the hell would i call some 800 number when i already wrote to them. there are federal regulations that guide how they should operate and they did not follow them here. i posted this so that others could be aware of it. if u have nothing helpful to say then mind your own business and just move on!

That for your apparent lack of any common sense that you were actually able to post a "RipOff" Report. Seriously, I really am not trying to come down on you but it is rather surprising. That you got a letter saying you had to provide additional information. But according to you there was no mention of what you needed or any contact information. I really hope you scan a copy of it with your personal information removed and post it to this report.
So I guess you want us to believe that it was a 1 line sentence on a plain white piece of paper. How about this, why not call their 800 number? You can let them know you applied and got a mysterious letter with absolutly no contact or information on it and you need to know more. To help you out a bit their number is 1-800-347-2683(or 1-800-DISCOVEr)
Oh by the way...you most likely were declined because you didn't provide the information.
