We ordered a PT Cruiser on 4-28-00. Order accepted by Chrysler on 5-1-00. We were told that we would have our Cruiser in 5-6 months. We are still in BX status. Our sales person has not returned calls or kept one single promise he made to call us back or check on anything we ask.

We now have a new sales person and he is a little better, but not much. I am not impressed with their customer service! The new salesman told us we are 159 of over 660 PT's they have ordered.

As far as getting our PT we have now been told it will be May or June of next year, which is unacceptable. I do not mind waiting my turn, but when orders after yours are filled and you still wait it is hard to justify. I do not blame Dave Smith Motors for that part, but they have been less than honest with us.

I also feel that if Chrysler is having trouble delivering in a timely manner then they should cut off the orders, say maybe each dealer could only order 100 a month or whatever they can reasonably deliver in a timely manner. I think all those who have ordered should send letters of protest to Chrysler.

This is my first order of a new vehicle from Chrysler and it will be my last if I continue with the order at all!!! Also it has been hard to find the correct person in the Chrysler Corp to talk to regarding how they are filling the orders. I have received a few addresses and will share them later and hope everyone will write in their complaints too. I also notice someone else added a report and they ordered after we did but they are 124 on the list, how did that happen!!!

The PT Cruiser has been very popular. Chrysler dealers have been having a 'hayday' with them, sometimes marking them up as much as $6,000 over list price.

I have been hearing stories of ordered PT Cruisers being sold to other customers for higher prices. The dealership already has your deposit and knows you will wait, then will take your ordered unit and sell it to another customer for a big profit.

If you don't already know, this dealer has more complaints on the Internet. Suggest that you retract your deal with this

dealer and pick one with a bit more creditability.
