The Cummins 6.7L ISB engine in my motor coach has failed causing extensive damage after 23000 miles of service. A unit that according to the manufacturer has a reputation for being virtually indestructible.

A local Cummins dealer working on the engine failure suggests the install of a remanufactured engine due to the critical damage occured. A $25000.00 repair bill. Also, the dealer suggests Cummins, Inc. cover 75 percent of the repair bill due to the low milege on the engine.

Cummns, Inc Nashville Customer Service Advocate, John Tyner, has refused to offer any assistance due to the age of the engine, being out of warranty, and totally ignores the lack of service time/mileage on the engine.

We read all the manufactures statements of integrity, product quality, and how they do what is right for their customers. This is a classic example of the total opposite. Something could have and should have been done to offer customer assistance for an engine that is just at the early stages of its diesel lifetime. Shame on Cummins...Buyer beware!
