My grandparents went to cottmans transmission one day with there 1984 Chevy car because the transmission blew. That was in 5/19/99 and they came home with a 1615.00 bill. Little did they know that would be the begining of part one of the rip off artist over there.

Then on 9/1/99 the engine blew in the 84 chevy. They went back to cottmans and came home with another 1634.00 bill for a used engine. After 40 days and only 100 miles the used engine blew.

Of coarse the warranty was only good for 30 days. That's when I come in, they called me up in distress, so checked out the car and all the receipts. The engine they put in was nasty and had more miles on it than the one that came out. They were also charged with phoney excess repair costs. They charged 45.00 for steam cleaning the engine and didnt do it. They charged them 500.00 for the junk yard engine and only paid 200.00 for it! They charged them 45.00 for replacing the rear main seal. Thats a joke, the seal only cost 5.00 and the engine was already out of the car, no labor at all involved in it.

I could go on but on top of it all the jerks charged 30.00 for an oil change!!! Is there no justice. Its sad because any good place would of told them from the get go that the car wasn't worth the repairs. The war isn't over with cottman transmission

UH, Cottman doesn't work on engines. Maybe you could get your facts straight before you malign someone. Have a nice day!

At first I thought there was a typo in the victims copy. The victims tell us this particular Cottman Transmission did their engine work. ... as you said, .."UH"
