Computer Video Store Rip-off aka VCstore aka Computer Personalities *UPDATE
My computer was purchased as a gift from my mother Mattie R. Wilkes. Her address is South Eberhart Ave, Chicago, Il. 60619. I live at the same address. Our order number with Video Computer Store is F663206. My Everex Computer System with a Millineum Windows software package was purchased with the promise of a 3 year warranty.
I have been contacting this organization by phone and the telephone number is blocked. I have been e-mailing them and they have not responded. I am having several problems with my system and I am not successfully reaching anyone to help me with technical support.
We purchased A Everex 800 MHZ PIII Window Me, DVD// Canon 3000 printer, CD-RW, Zip Drive, 45 gigabyte hard drive upgrade, and 2nd and 3rd year on site warranties.
Please advise me since I can't get the proper response to resolve my problems. I also have not received my rebates.

I also ordered a computer back in June of 2000 and they said we would have our computer by August 2000. We did not receive anything in August or September. We made repeated calls asking for a date on our delivery. They said they ran out of the systems and they would upgrade us to a Micron Millenium with a cannon scanner, Video confrencing camera, cannon printer, 3 piece speakers, with a Pentium III 850 processor. They told us that they would send one out immediatly. We must have made 5 more calls to them until we finally received out computer in the middle of December 2001.
Two weeks latter they called us on a weekend to remind us to send in the mail in rebate which we did and to this day, November 11th 2001 we have yet to receive our rebate. I also failed to mention that within a month of using the AOC Monitor it went out and to return it for an exchange.
When we did get our monitor it was not even the same monitor that came with our system. I called the manufaturer and they said they could sent us a replacement that was similar but not the same. It does not even have a main shut off. The power saver button is always on unless we unplug it.
All I know is that these guys at the VC Store are a bunch of Bull shitters and they are out to ripe of the public. A think a class action suite should be placed on them. I am writing to join pjlove@aol.com with our dissatisfaction with the VC Store. If you can help please email me back.
