Compaq Computer Rip Off
I sent for my $200.00 rebate from Compaq Systems 2 Rebate Dept#590907CPOl How 2 HQ Com PO Box1670 Coppell,Tx.75019.I then received a post card saying thank you for participating in the promotion for $200 Presario 5440 Series or 5304PC,Purchase Dates:10/1/99-1/29/00 PostmarkDate:2/29/00 Your request could not be fulfilled fulfilled for the following reason:Purhase Date you did not purchase this product within the purchase dates printed above. I have my sales receipt and I purchased my Compaq computer 5304 on 10/9/99 so you see I did get it within that date.I then called 1-877-266-6483 which is where I sent the rebate they told me the same thing over again and got smart with me which I was not happy about if they don't want to give out rebates they should not offer them.I then e-mailed Compaq Costomer Support on the computer they gave me another telephone mumber to call 1-800-322-9435 I then called them and they in return told me to call back the first number and they also got smart with me. I am writting to you because I am upset about the whole thing so please let me know if there is anything that I can do. Thank You Very Much. Bonnie Phillips
