I applied for a rebate for three FRS-22SPR2 radios in August of 2003. It took me 8 months of calling, faxing, and emailing before I finally received the promised rebate checks. I had to make 8 phone calls, fax them twice, send in another copy of the rebate requests and email them twice before I received the checks.

When I finally received the checks, they bounced! Their bank returned them for non sufficient funds. I have called Columbia several times and the operator says there is no one in their office who handles bad checks and that I must call the rebate department. The rebate department does not call me back.

I think they are intentionally trying to avoid fullfilling their rebate promise.
