First off, be clear with your salesperson about whether you're entering into a contract, they will tell you no, but when you call a few months later to cancel service it will be too late. Call Clear once you get the service to be sure you're not in a contract. They are notorious for lying to potential customers.

Secondly, you WILL NEVER have unlimited speed. Meaning, if you're thinking of using netflix or downloading apps, or using the internet more than your grandmother does you will be capped. Meaning, a red flag will go up in their system which will reduce the speed of your internet service to that comparable to a 56k modem, back in the America Online Days, it feels even slower ... this will go on for a month or so until your account refreshes.

No matter what plan you're in, they will cap you for using netflix or downloading or surfing too long, this is to their discretion and it is stated in their terms of service so there is nothing you can do about it.

THE GOOD: In New York City the internet is reliable, meaning you can get it in most places, their internet is cheap, and customer service reps appear to give a crap, at least about the issues I called about.

If you don't use the web often, and just send and receive e-mail and go on facebook (Grandma), then this is the company for you. But I would stick to your current ISP if they're giving you good service and you're just paying a few dollars more.
