Deceptive financing:

I bought two couches from Valley Furniture in Rohnert Park, Ca. They arranged financing through CitiFinancial, 1791 Marlow Rd, Santa Rosa. They offered financing of no interest if paid within 90 days.

CitiFinancial sent me a payment book that showed 11 payments of $72.05. I decided based on this to make the 11 payments of $72.05 rather than pay the loan in full within the 90 days. It turns out that there was a twelfth payment not shown in this book like the other payments.

When you get to the last page of the book, at the bottom of the page, is a notation to call the company to find out the amount of the final payment. It turns out that an additional $72.05 is owed. I called the company to say that I would have paid off the loan in 90 days if I hadn't been misled by this book and that I considered it deceptive.

They said they would ruin my credit if I didn't pay since I signed a contract. I would like to warn people about doing business with both CitiFinancial and Valley Furniture.
