RE: The Circuit City/Compuserve $400 Credit deal

To whom it may Concern,

I recently signed up with the Circuit City/Compuserve $400 credit deal and am really upset because of the way you treated me and other customer's that have lost money from this deal.
I was never told I only had 90 days to spend the money I had on the card or I lose all of it.
The way a big company is taking money from us because we didn't spend our money with in the 90 days after signing up with Compuserve, is not fair to the customer.
I have called the main office at Circuit City and they told me it was Compuserve's problem so I called Compuserve and they told me its not their problem because they paid Circuit City the $400 when I signed up.
So I called Circuit City, and I was told if I signed the contract and didn't spend my money in 90 days I loose everything that was on the merchandise card.
Not only did I lose $75.00. When I called to asked for my money back,
They were very rude, and made me feel like I was really being ripped off.
When I signed this I was never told that I had to spend my money with in 90 days.
If I had known I would have spent all my money at the time.
But that still doesn't make it right to take our money if we don't spend it within the 90 days.
You should at least give us a rebate on what we don't spend or give us credit on what we have left on it after the 90 days.
I am disabled and live on Social Security Income and Social Security Disability, and I cannot afford to give away $75.00.
I plan to report this to the Better Business Bureau and all legal ways to announce this to the public before they sign this contract.
I also plan to contact other customers that lost money through this deal and make it public to millions, by making banners, picket signs, and a web page warning people about this contract.
It makes me very upset how a big store like Circuit City would do this to people.
I have always been a good customer and told a lot of my friends, circuit city is a great store to shop at because of the deals you have.
It looks like I was wrong, big time.
