I received service with Cingular Wireless 3 months ago. At first everything went smooth. I was happy, so I ordered 2 additional lines and upgraded my minutes plan.

When I got my next bill I was overcharged by 75.00 dollars. They corrected the error, but I still came out paying more than what I was told it would be. This month I was curious to see how we were doing ,as far as
sharing minutes with our new plan. I tried to log in to Cingular.com, but it kept saying not a valid mobile number.

I decided to call customer service to see what I was doing wrong. The menu had an option to check your minutes used, and available. So I did, when the message ended it stated my balance owed for this month. It was $1,299.29. I almost passed out!! I knew it was a mistake. I talked to customer service and they said that it was because of phone calls made to Africa!

I told them that I have never called anybody outside my local area, and I didn't even know anyone in Africa. Besides you would have to be making a lot of calls to amount to $1,299.29. The supervisor said the calls were made from my phone, and I have to pay it, and there is nothing I can do.

I told her to cancel my service, so I don't keep getting charged, at least until I can straighten this out.
Now I not only will be charged the $1,299.29 for the calls I never made , I also have to pay $ 150.00 ( x 3 ) for early termination. All for something I never did !!

Per referral - Tested authentication which is active for CTN. Authenticated phones cannot have a cloned double capable of passing the authentication/validation process in their home market. Therefore all home charges are valid and determined to have been placed from this customer's phone. There are no Roam charges on the last two bills - no roam cloning. Reviewed FraudGuard CDR records -usage is consistent with no spikes. This account has been cleared of any possible cloning activity. I have communicated this to the customer. Please help this customer through customer care with their billing dispute. Please do not send this customer back through the Fraud Dept. for a second investigation.
