CCA (Capital Credit Alliance)is a mail order company which offers to sell consumers a "membership card".

I received this same card that everyone else is receiving. I knew it was a scam from the very beginning, just look at the outside of the envelope the correspondence came in. What Credit card co advertises that there is a credit card enclosed? That is just one of many signs of a scam.

I immediately went on line and found this website, but also accessed the Las Vegas Better Business Bureau to look up this company. It uses a number of Alias and telephones numbers. I contacted the Secret Service, which in return told me that this would be handled by the United States Postal Inspectors Office, since this is not a Credit Card from Visa, Mastercard, etc.

This is considered mail fraud. There is only one listed complaint by a consumer to the Postal Inspectors office. Please to keep these people from committing these criminal acts report them to your local POSTAL INSPECTORS OFFICE! These criminals are stealing our childrens personal info as well, please take the time to put a stop to mail fraud.

Also, please notify your Bank and credit agencies (Equifax, Experian and Transunion) to put a fraud alert on your credit. We don't know how these people are getting our information. We don't know if they actually have our Bank account numbers, etc. Be safe and smart. Protect yourself and your family.

The BBB has received correspondence that CCA solicits a card with the logo, "First National Membercard" and the consumer is pre-approved for a $6,500 unsecured credit line, authorized for CCA (Capital Credit Alliance, Inc.) catalog purchases only. The info. Accompanying the card indicates there is a $200.00 activation fee and $99.00 annual fee. The co. only leaves a PO Box to be contacted at, also the info. requests taht the consumer call an 800 number to activate teh card and all of the charges would be debited from the consumer's CHECKING/SAVINGS ACCOUNT.

Consumers should note that correspondence from the co. representative, Mr. Gary Allen, has indicated that "MEMBERSHIP AND/OR ASSOCIATION FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, and that these transactions are final upon accepting membership. THE BBB WARNS CONSUMERS TO READ AND UNDERSTAND ANY CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING IT. CONSUMERS SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION BEFORE GIVING FINANCIAL INFO. TO ANY CO. WHICH IS NOT KNOW TO THEM.

I wish all best of luck and hope that you will take the time to contact your local United States Postal Inspectors Office.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
