C.C.A. First National Card
After previously being ripped off by a so called "credit card" company which I later found out was catalog-only and the merchandise was marked up to 3 times its retail price, I recieved a "credit card" in the mail with the name of First National Card written on it claiming I was approved for a $6500 credit limit with zero percent interest rate and cash on demand. Of course I was immediately suspicious. Here is a paragraph of the letter: "By calling before your approval expires, we'll offset our standard membership fee of $200 by giving you $200 in credit with your first purchase over $300 giving you easy shopping at no extra cost! We'll also give you another $100 in creadit with any purchase over $200 to offset our standard $99 annual fee. Getting Cash-On-Demand when you needit gives you that extra cash at no extra cost!" This crap is all printed on cheap paper in only black and white. First of all there is no bank name, no "Visa" or "MasterCard" anywhere. Second of all the only addresses given are post office boxes, no physical address. And third, no credit company is going to charge a $200 membership fee! If they did - no one would use their card! AAAhhh. I am so tired of these "companies" ripping people off.
If you see ANY type of credit offer and the letter does not state a specific bank's name or what type of card it is (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) then THROW IT AWAY!
