IN September, two men came to my door saying they were selling chicken, pork, and beef at amazing prices. They said they were called Butcher's Choice and they were in charge of selling meat to famous restaurant chains like TGI Friday's and Appleby's. I was in a hurry to get to work so I told them I couldn't talk at the moment and told them to talk to my husband who was working in the backyard. I knew my husband would not want to buy any meat from these vendors.

As I pulled out of my driveway, I noticed a little white truck with an Ohio license plate from Akron, with a rusted little refirgerator in the back. I knew right away that they probably couldn't be trusted.
The jackasses had the nerve to LIE TO MY HUSBAND telling him I had said it was okay to write out a check for the meat..in the meantime, I had never even mentioned to them I had a checking account nor said I had wanted to purchase any meat.

I came home from work and found the carbon copy of the check, which totaled $368.00 for only 30# of chicken. The sales slip had NO NAME, NO ADDRESS, NO PHONE NUMBER, nothing, it was like a generic sales receipt book you can buy at WAlmart for 2 bucks. I called the bank immediately the next day and stopped the check. The check was never attempted to be cashed and the vendors haven't come back for their meat yet.

It has been three months and I must say I'm sick of that chicken sitting in my freezer. If they dont come back by the end of the year, I'm feeding it to the dogs. that was an outrageous price for chicken and especially if they had such good business claims like Appleby's dont you think they would have an address or something?

Hmmm.. Well it seems you werent so sure your husband wouldnt buy cause he did. Also why do you think you can't trust someone just by how they look? You were wasting their time and your husbands. You should have said "No I donT want any Thank You". And you wouldnt have had to deal with any of this.

I have bought MEat from similar Vendors and Yes it costs a little more that the grocery store. But I like the variety and I would rather support the guy out bustin his hump in his truck than the big Multi national corporations, who dont really appreciate you as a customer or even realize you are one.

I have had a meat salesman come to my door as well. My response? No thank you. We're all vegetarians. They left.
